So Brazil Beach Concert Series awaking all senses

Our performance last Thursday at the Kiosk Floreat Beach, was a great success. It was a perfect combination of all elements awaking all senses at the same time: So Brazil’s connecting music; the warm crowd; the summer vibes, the sea view, the casualness, the sunset light, the soft breeze, the sea’s aroma;  the venue’s good food and ambience and the happiness of being alive.

We take this chance to thank again the wonderful and vibrant crowd that cheered So Brazil celebrating with us our first concert of the year.

Continuing our beach concert series, we are excited to announce that we are going to be back to:

–         Salt on the beach on Wed 20/1 – 7-9pm – $10 – performing with our multi talented guest Rick Goncalves ( cavaquinho, guitar and percussion) .

–         Kiosk Floreat Beach on Thurs 28/1 – 6-8pm – free – duo performance.

Please check our upcoming gigs page for more details and the Sunday Times Magazine’s article about our next concert at the Salt below. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

New Year’s Eve Celebration in Rio de Janeiro.

Wed 9 Dec – Brazilian Music and the beach: a perfect combination

After a fully booked performance at Kulcha in September and a successful presentation at Live@Woodside Spring Festival in October, So Brazil Duo is back onstage where Brazilian music performs at its best: at the beach. The party starts at 7:30pm on Wednesday, 9 December, at the  Salt on the Beach restaurant, 44 Port Beach Road, North Fremantle. Welcoming Summer and the end-of-year festive season, the event was born via a partnership between Salt on the Beach and ZEROii Arts, a new marketing and publicity company in Perth.

Singer Juliana and guitarist Jose Henrique have invited a very special guest, percussionist, guitarist and cavaquinist Ricky Gonçalves, to join forces for the gig at Salt. In a trio format, they will be performing a repertoire centered in Brazilian compositions, such as Jobim’s bossa nova “Corcovado (Quiet Nights)”, the more traditional Rio de Janeiro samba classic “So danço samba” and “Desde que o samba é samba”. From there they will also reach out touching well-known pearls of the global music, like “Every breath you take”, and a special surprise featuring a popular Australian song, all with a refreshing Brazilian touch. Also, from the Brazilian 80’s Rock Movement, they will perform “Meu erro”, “Exagerado” and other well-known (by Brazilians at least) hits.

Wed 9 December – 19h30 – $ 10 (door sale)
